Storyline: Outside a movie premiere, extravagant fan Peppy Miller literally bumps into the swashbuckling principal character of the silent film, George Valentin. The asterisk reacts graciously and Peppy plants a kiss attached his cheek as they are surrounded ~ the agency of photographers. The headlines demand: 'Who's That Girl?' and Peppy is inspired to audition despite a dancing bit-part at the studio. However as Peppy slowly rises end the industry, the introduction of talking-pictures turns Valentin's globe upside-down.
